Aluminum France’s Board of Directors unanimously elected Mr. Guillaume de Goÿs, Chief Operating Officer of Alvance, Chairman of Aluminum France. Mr. de Goÿs succeeds Jean-François Faure, General Manager Aluminum Technology at Rio Tinto and Chairman of Aluminum France for 3 years. The entire Board of Directors thanks Jean-François Faure for his mission within the profession. His mandate made it possible to reposition the aluminum industry within major French industrial professional organizations and to increase its visibility with stakeholders. This positioning has enabled the profession to be very responsive in managing the Rusal crisis of 2018 and that of COVID in 2020. Guillaume de Goÿs will be keen to continue the work started by Jean-François Faure, and to help the profession meet the challenges of reindustrialisation, its response to climate change, and its permanent adaptation to the post-COVID business environment. . A graduate of ECAM and IAE Lyon, Mr. de Goÿs began his career at Michelin before joining the Pechiney group in 2002. He joined Aluminum Dunkerque in 2014 as Director of Operations, then Managing Director before becoming, in 2020, COO of the Alvance group.
